ARBUI

Made with Merseguera and Chardonnay grapes. The Merseguera, from a careful selection of old vines, is complemented by the freshness and balance of the Chardonnay. Its aging of approximately ten months on its lees in oak barrels results in a full-bodied, elegant wine with a distinctive character.

01 — Origin

Two varieties, one territory

Arbui Blanco combines 75 % of Merseguera and 25 % of Chardonnay, seeking a balance between identity and complementarity.

The Merseguera, a native variety from Alicante, comes from vineyards around 50 years old, trained in the traditional bush vine system on stony soils. The Chardonnay, planted on trellises in calcareous-sandy soils, completes the blend, contributing freshness and balance.

The harvest is done manually and the selection of the bunches allows working only with the grapes that present the appropriate conditions of maturity and expression.

02 — Production and breeding

Texture and depth

The fermentation process continues using gravity and exclusively free-run juice, preserving the purity of each variety. After fermentation in French oak barrels, the wine remains on its fine lees for 10 months, with periodic bâtonnage (lees stirring).

This process adds volume and texture and allows complexity to develop progressively, integrating the wood without displacing the fruit or freshness that define the wine.

Tasting notes

View: Bright yellow with golden highlights.

Nose: Ripe stone fruit and citrus, accompanied by delicate floral nuances and subtle hints of vanilla and spices.

Mouth: Ample, fresh, and balanced, with an enveloping texture and an acidity that provides tension and length. Aging on lees extends the wine's lifespan and adds depth.

03 — Identity

The personality of two varieties

Arbui Blanco finds its character in the dialogue between a native variety and another with a great capacity for adaptation. Merseguera contributes identity and Mediterranean roots; Chardonnay completes the whole with structure and balance.

The result is an aged white wine with volume and complexity, but built from the freshness and expression of the vineyard.

Pairing and service

Ideal for rice dishes, fish, seafood, oily fish, white meats, and Mediterranean cuisine. Its texture and freshness allow it to complement both delicate dishes and more robust preparations. It is recommended to serve it between 8 and 10 °C.
